3D Spezifikation - Das Blu-ray Disc Profile 5
Die 3D-Spezifikation für die 3D Blu-ray Disc (auch BD-3D genannt) wird als "Profil 5" (der früheren Blu-ray Disc Profile 1.0, Profile 1.1 "Bonus-View" und Profile 2.0 "BD-Live") bezeichnet. Profile 5 erlaubt eine maximale Datenrate von 72Mbs (ab 48Mbs für BD-Live-Spieler), erfordert HDMI 1.4 (eine höhere Geschwindigkeit - Version von HDMI) und unterstützt 3D-Video, 3D-Menüs und 3D-Untertitel.
BD3D Discs sind mit früheren Profilen der Blu-ray-Player abwärtskompatibel.
